The Best Decision I Ever Made

This is a blog I posted on Myspace June 29th 2007 (before Karens cancer:) )

Was Obviously to ask Jesus to be my Personal Lord and Savior!

But the SECOND best decision I ever made was on Decmber 23rd 1989 when I asked Karen Michelle Stuart (yes her name was Stuart before we married, she only changed the spelling!) to be my wife….. She said yes and today we celebrate 17 years of marraige
I can honestly say (I promise to Jesus) That I am more in love with her today than the day we got married:)

I LOVE HER BECAUSE: she laughs at ALL my jokes, (even the ones that she has heard several times before)

I LOVE HER BECAUSE: she is always there for me, I often tell people that the best thing about being married is…. I NEVER have to face anything alone.

I LOVE HER BECAUSE: she is getting more Beautiful as the years go by (Silent Beauty). This is due to the fact that she not only has outer beauty but the inner beauty spoken of in 1 Peter 3:4….” the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God”…and Jeff

I LOVE HER BECAUSE: she loves me…. I mean she really loves me. She is my biggest fan, I can not imagine having a wife who thought I was stupid (which I am) or Immature (well you know), or a little boy who needs to be mothered (which sometimes I feel like). And the reason I could not imagine any of these is Karen would never think to treat me in any of these ways

I LOVE HER BECAUSE: She is the best friend I have ever had, or ever will have. I used to hear married people say this and I thought…. they say that to make the woman feel special even though it’s not true. but now I know it can be true there is not anything we havent talked about…. (yes that includes….) there is not anything about me she does not know, there is not anyone I would rather be with:)

I LOVE HER BECAUSE: she has given the Lord great room to work in my life over the 17 years we have been married. which is not as easy as it sounds. She has watched me change and loved me for it rather than resent the change, even when it directly affects her

I LOVE HER BECAUSE: she has a tremendous ammount of wisdom. This is something many of you will agree with if you have ever talked with Karen about the Lord. I used to think I was the one with all the wisdom and her job was to be sensitive, and then I started to listen to her (thank Jesus for our special needs Bible study). What I found out was she is sensitive AND WISE:)

I LOVE HER BECAUSE: SHE LOVES JESUS MORE THAN SHE LOVES ME!….. and this wasnt always the case, but as she has grown from a girl into a woman she has done it realizing that He and He alone is worthy of her true affection and all of her heart. And I am here to tell you Jesus is the one man I am happy to have her be in love with more than me

So I guess by now you are starting to understand that I am totally, completely, and unashamedly IN LOVE WITH MY WIFE ………………. if you are a single girl and you know Karen may I say pay attention to her and how she carries herself, how she loves, and treats her husband. if you do I guarantee you will be a great wife
……… if you are a single guy then re-read this post and look for these things in a mate…. not just someone hot and available
